An incredible and unique journey that will lead us through coves, cliffs, caves, rivers and Mediterranean scrub. Six days of a fascinating adventure and intense emotions in the mountains, centuries-old holm oak woods, gigantic arches, the sea, old sheepfolds and breathtaking views along the ancient paths of charcoal burners and shepherds.
Spring and autumn are undoubtedly the most suitable seasons for this suggestive and fascinating trek in the Baunei area.
An excursion lasting a few days which can vary in the stages and in which Paolo and Salvatore will accompany you through the beautiful bays of the coast of the municipality of Baunei ,making an evening stop in the typical sheepfolds of the place or directly on the beach. You will cross impervious paths, ancient mule tracks, and ingenious juniper stairs; you will fall in love with the breathtaking views, among spiers, rock arches and imposing cliffs overlooking a sea of unique beauty.
The duration of the excursions can be modified and personalized according to the needs of the excursionists. Upon request, the package can also include transport to and from Sardinian airports/ports and accommodation.

Briefing: the day before departure, we will meet in Santa Maria Navarrese or Baunei for a briefing with the group
1st day of trekking
Pedralonga - Cuile us Piggius – Punta Giradili – Ovile Piras
You will reach the start of the path at Pedra Longa by car. From here you reach Punta Giradili, a panoramic terrace at an altitude of 700 meters overlooking the sea. Subsequently, the walk continues up to the Piras sheepfold.
Elevation gain: about +760m. Approx. 6 hours. of walking.
Dinner and overnight stay outdoors in a sheepfold.
You will reach the start of the path at Pedra Longa by car. From here you reach Punta Giradili, a panoramic terrace at an altitude of 700 meters overlooking the sea. Subsequently, the walk continues up to the Piras sheepfold.

2nd day of trekking
Ovile Piras – Portu Cuau - Portu Pedrosu – Ovile Piras
From the Piras sheepfold to the inlet of Portu Cuau. From here an easy path allows us to reach Portu Pedrosu where we can stop for a swim. After the packed lunch we return to the Piras sheepfold where we will spend one more night.

3rd day of trekking
Ovile Piras - Punta Salinas-Cala Goloritzè - Golgo Plateau
From the sheepfold you go towards Punta Salinas (one of the most panoramic natural terraces overlooking the Gulf) and then towards Baccu Goloritzè to reach the Cala of the same name, one of the most fascinating from all over the Mediterranean.

In the afternoon we leave for the Golgo plateau where we will visit As Piscinas (basaltic rainwater pools), the well-known Golgo chasm "Su Sterru" (which with its approx. 300 m is one of the deepest vertical chasms in Europe), the country church of San Pietro.

Golgo- Cala Mariolu – Cala Biriala – Ololbitzi
Following first a dirt road and then a path of shepherds and charcoal burners, we will reach the beautiful Cala Mariolu which with Cala Goloritzè competes every year for the first places as the most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean.
After a swim and a packed lunch, we will move by dinghy to Cala Biriala. From here we will resume the walk to reach Ololbitzi, at an altitude of 400 m, where we will spend the night.
Gradient: + 600, - 600 m approx
Duration: 4/5 hours of walking
Following first a dirt road and then a path of shepherds and charcoal burners, we will reach the beautiful Cala Mariolu which with Cala Goloritzè competes every year for the first places as the most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean.
After a swim and a packed lunch, we will move by dinghy to Cala Biriala. From here we will resume the walk to reach Ololbitzi, at an altitude of 400 m, where we will spend the night.

5th day of trekking
Ololbitzi – Punta Serra Overa - Cala Sisine
From Ololbitzi you reach Punta Serra Overa, from which you can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire gulf, from Capo Montesanto to Capo Comino. From here you descend to the beach of Cala Sisine.
Dinner and overnight in Cala Sisine
Difference in altitude: +250, - 650 m approx
Duration: approx. 5 hours of walking
From Ololbitzi you reach Punta Serra Overa, from which you can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire gulf, from Capo Montesanto to Capo Comino. From here you descend to the beach of Cala Sisine.

6th day of trekking

Cala Sisine – Cala Luna You leave Cala Sisine going up a steep stony ground until you reach a path that crosses a forest of holm oaks and strawberry trees, which will lead you to the Irove Longu sheepfold. From here begins the descent towards Cala Luna; along the way you can admire S'Archittu de Lopiru, a beautiful rock arch.
Dinner in the local restaurant and bivouac in the Caves of Cala Luna
Difference in altitude: +650, - 650 m approx
Duration: approx. 5 hours of walking

Relaxing day in Cala Luna
Relaxing day in Cala Luna: a spaghetti dinner is planned in the local restaurant, and in the afternoon, depending on your needs, return to Cala Gonone or Santa Maria Navarrese by boat or dinghy.
